How to promote like a publicist

How to market and promote your book like a book publicist! How to choose a launch date. Pro Tips and Tools. What is the difference between marketing and publicity? As a company frequently used by book publicists, Chanticleer has an insider’s view of the industry to discover expert tips that will help set your book up for success!

More than 2,000 new titles are published in the English language each and every day. However, most authors will not make the time or effort to effectively publicize and market their works. Make your work stand out in a crowded field. It can be done!

Kathryn has presented at PNWA, SFWC, Writer’s Digest NYC, RWA Nat’l, ECWC, Pubsense, Digital Book World, Left Coast Crime, Historical Novel Society conferences, Bublish Webinars, BEA UpubU, Alli, and others including the annual Chanticleer Authors Conference. Kiffer Brown works with authors across the globe by using her marketing and PR talents to help them broaden their audiences and assisting publishers on how to increase sales by thinking of new ways to use their branding to expand market-share. She is the founder of the Chanticleer Reviews and the Chanticleer Int’l Book Awards Program that is headquartered here in Bellingham, Wash

New to WWP

Welcome, Pacific Northwest Writers!

We meet every last Wednesday from September to June in scenic Bellingham, WA. Supper starts at 5:30, and the speaker starts at 7:00.

Dues are 25 dollars a year or 40 for two years. We use the dues to pay for our speakers to come from around the region, and for an occasional table at local writer events. Our dues year runs from September to June, like our meetings, but will roll over if you pay late in the cycle. If you want to try us out first, feel free. Speakers in the past have included authors Cami Ostman and Robert Dugoni, and agent Donald Maass, covering topics such as social media, self-publishing, memoirs, mixed media, poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. It is our goal to offer something for everyone, no matter your place in the writing journey-- just starting or long-published. Old school or new. If you have an idea for a speaker or topic, let us know, but if it has been covered recently it might not be picked up.
