Thank you to everyone who came to our meeting this past month! Réanne Hemingway-Douglass gave a great story about her experiences with writing and publishing. WWP appreciates her giving her time and insights to our authors.
Dean Kahn, editor and columnist for the Bellingham Herald, has announced that the Herald’s quarterly glossy magazine, Whatcom Magazine, will include a listing of new books from Whatcom County authors. In this new feature, he hopes to include either a book cover or an author photo as an art element with each list.
Of first interest will be new books written by authors living in the county; second, new books by former county residents; and, third, new books by other authors with subject matter of particular interest to Whatcom readers.
The quarterly listing will be not include reviews; rather it will be a checklist with title, author name, retail price, a sentence of description, and needed information on availability.
