Topic: Recipe for Publishing Success
Date: February 11, 2015
Alice Acheson shares decades of working with large and small publishers to demonstrate for us the importance of professional editing of manuscripts before submitting them to an agent or publisher. She will provide ways for us to do the preliminary research to find competent freelancers and then supply questions to ask them before we turn over the manuscript for editing, and the costs involved.
Alice has negotiated book contracts, sold subsidiary rights, and edited and publicized books. She won a Literary Market Place Outside Services Award for Advertising, Promotion, and Publicity and numerous titles she publicized landed on The New York Times bestseller list (four simultaneously).
